Critical Illness
Provides financial assistance upon diagnosis of the following covered Critical Illness (Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, Chronic Kidney Failure, Chronic Liver Disease, Chronic Diabetes Mellitus)
Lump Sum Benefits (Death due to covered Critical Illness or Accidental Death)
Provides financial assistance in the event of loss of life due to the covered Critical Illness or accident.
Hospital Allowance (per day) due to Illness.
Fixed daily cash benefit for every day of hospital confinement due to Critical Illness, maximum of thirty (30) days per lifetime limit
Accidental Death, Disablement or Dismemberment
Provides indemnity for loss of life resulting from an accident, loss of limbs or body parts, and/or compensation due to the incapacity to move or use limbs or body parts.
Medical Reimbursement
Provides reimbursement for actual expenses (up to the limit specified) irrecoverable from other means for treatment of injuries sustained in an accident.

Malayan’s Vital Cover offers a comprehensive accident and health insurance coverage, focusing on the financial support for Injuries and Critical Illness.

Who can avail of Malayan’s Vital Cover?
Eighteen (18) to sixty (60) years old for new applications and renewable up to sixty-five (65) years old.
What plans are available?
Vital Cover has three (3) Annual Plans (Plan A - Php 180,000.00; Plan B - Php 300,000.00; Plan C- Php 600,000.00) you may choose from.
Where will I be able to buy Vital Cover?
You have various options if you’d like to purchase Vital Cover:
- Accredited Malayan Insurance Agents - our network of trusted insurance agents is ready to help you secure your Vital Cover policy
- Malayan Insurance Branches - you may visit any Malayan Insurance branches nationwide
How many Vital Cover policies can one person buy?
Maximum of one (1) Policy per person at any given time. In the event of multiple covers, claim will be lodged on the first issued policy and premium for all other effective applicable policies will be refunded.
Are there any occupational restrictions with Vital Cover?
None.
How long will I be covered by Malayan’s Vital Cover?
We are currently offering Annual plans only.
What are the Claims Requirements?
General Requirements:
- Confirmation of Cover (filled-out and signed)
- Duly accomplished Claims Notification Form
- Government issued I.D./Company or School I.D. showing complete home address and
- signature of Insured, with photo
- Original or Certified True Copy of Birth certificate of the insured
- 2 Valid Government I.D.s of Beneficiary with photo and signature
- Identification of Beneficiary
- For Spouse: Marriage Contract
- For Parents/Children/Siblings: Birth Certificate
- Proof of claim payment/quit claim duly signed by the Insured or the Beneficiary (upon receipt of claim proceeds)
- All other documents that may be required by the insurer
Additional Requirements for Critical Illness Benefit & Hospital Allowance due to Critical Illness
- Diagnosis document and/or clinical proof
- Hospital Discharge Note
- Medical Report
- Surgery Certification
- Radiation Therapy
- Histological and laboratory evidence
- Radiological Test Results
- Cytological Test Results
- All other laboratory test results and medical documents related to the treatment
Additional Requirements for Accidental Death
- Medical Certificate from attending physician (Original or Certified True Copy)
- Original Official Receipt
- Original Hospital Billing Statement
Additional Requirements for Medical Reimbursement (due to accidental injuries only)
- Medical Certificate from hospital/ attending physician
- Original Official Receipt
- Hospital Billing Statement, if confined
- Duly Notarized Affidavit, Police Report or Incident Report
